    Story

On the 13th of May as the 3 musketeers held hands the doctor came and told us that Mum had Cancer. In that moment the world stopped. Why? Why Mum? She’s an angel, she’s spent 40 years as a nurse taking care of people while taking care of us, it can’t be her she doesn’t deserve this it can’t be true! We sobbed, cried, collapsed even. What would we do without our Mummy, our Best Friend? As the days followed more bad news came, it was Pancreatic Cancer that spread to the Liver and Stomach. Incurable. Hideous. Soul destroying. She’s been poorly for 3 weeks, just 3 weeks and now it’s stage 4. How cruel.... it’s just not fair!

Mum starts her chemo in a few weeks bravely, to try and shrink the tumours and slow it down. We are fighting for time. We need more time. More time for memories but most importantly more to find a way to beat this!

She’s 60 with 4 beautiful grandchildren, this cannot be it. We hold hope in these amazing people at the hospital that they can help us to keep our beautiful Mummy here.

This is where you come in, we need your help! Please give what you can as we, and the kiddies ran a 5k race for our Mummy and Best Friend and if you’re reading this say a little prayer, prayers make miracles and that’s what we need. We are broken but we have to do something!

She’s probably cared for your great grandma or grandad or even your grandparents, she’s walked in the snow to care for people, never had a sick day, never hurt anyone, just oozed love and compassion. Please, please give what you can and pray for her. We smashed the race and we will beat this horrendous disease with the help of The wonderful nurses and doctors, faith and above all else Hope! Our hearts are breaking but we live in hope and the first step is here, be part of Lesley’s army and give what you can. We are determined to fight this and beat it as a family. Support us on our journey x x
