Saint David is the local parish church for Beaufort and the surrounding area of Ebbw Vale. Whilst it doesn't have a large congregation it is an important building for the community providing a spiritual base for those who use it for funerals, weddings and christenings. Like many large old buildings maintenance is an ongoing financial commitment and the current essential is a new roof. One parishioner, Lesley O'Connell, is running Cardiff Half Marathon to raise funds towards the roof cost and any amount of sponsorship by members of the local community who have found comfort in using the church for funerals or joy in using it for weddings or christening would be gratefully received so that we can maintain this beautiful church for years to come for the community.
