Weʼve raised £185 to Sponsor baby blanket kits to send to new mothers in Malawi.

Funded on Sunday, 18th December 2016

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

I am putting together baby blanket kits to send to the beautiful people of Malawi. One of the poorest countries in the world and an average salary of just 50p a day.
The kits will contain enough knitted squares to make 1 baby blanket, yarn and a needle to assemble the blanket, a small gift and a letter saying who has sponsored the blanket.
Many of my friends and colleagues are kindly providing wool or completed squares by way of sponsorship, but for those of you who are not nifty with a needle but would still like to sponsor one, I am opening this crowd funding page. Blankets can be sponsored for £5 which will cover the cost of the wool, gift and postage.
A letter with your name will be included with each blanket you sponsor.
So a huge thank you to anyone who feels they are able to contribute.

So the first 4 baby blanket kits have been dispatched and are on their way to Malawi! A huge thank you to all who have generously donated, or who are busy knitting squares. I have been overwhelmed with the words of encouragement from everyone, and amount of support from friends, family and work colleagues. I have been promised photos of when they are distributed so will post on here as soon as I get them.
