Story

ONE BEAUTIFUL DAY FREEOF POVERTY

I Know this year we are all suffering high inflation, poor pay, no pay rise, heating bills through the roof.

Both employed and on benefits

We are barely able to support our own let alone others

Yet I am begging you

If you give to just one charity this year we promise

EVERY PENNY GIVEN WILL GO TO CREATING CHRISTMAS FOR HUNGRY CHILDREN IN OUR COMMUNITY

No admin, no expenses we will pay the fees

EVERY PENNY THATS RIGHT EVERY PENNY GIVEN WILL GO TO CREATING CHRISTMAS FOR HUNGRY CHILDREN IN OUR COMMUNITY

We have been inundated already with requests to help provide

ONE BEAUTIFUL DAY FREE OF POVERTY

Social workers, school welfare, Foodbanks, Charities, police officers, local councillors, , Doctors, district nurses. Asking once again this year for your/our support.

They are inundated with families in our community Hungry, cold families

Quote; J G Clacton

Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou for our Xmas food and wonderful presents for the children. It seems Like a lifetime since we had the fun and laughter enjoyed this Christmas.

Hundreds of families looking ahead at a Christmas with nothing No Toys for the children, no heat in the house, no power for the cooker, No cooker, no fridge, no Freezer.

WORSE OF ALL NO FOOD FOR CHRISTMAS

Why? because there is so much poverty within the family.

Illness, poverty, death, unemployment, sadly sometimes bad parenting

( Children do not choose) even employed but struggling

These families rely on foodbanks just to get by.

That’s Right in 2023 in the fifth richest country in the world, in our community of North Essex children will not be able to celebrate Christmas.

This is wrong, worse than wrong. This absolutely breaks my heart and reduces this big ugly old man to tears. How can I sit in a house of plenty with so much poverty within my community?

How can I throw away more Christmas treats than 200 or more families will see?

YOU were on Christmas eve 2022 after a terrible rising costs, for food, heating, services to donate Hampers and presents to 200 families, YOU created tears, Laughter and joy where there was misery and despair. YOU filled hungry children's bellies

I received a phone call last year that made me cry

it went a lot like this

Thank you NEST for the hampers, bags and bags of wonderful food we have not seen in a long time. As a single Mum life is so much of a struggle. I feel a failure unable to feed my children properly, using food banks, being cold indoors. We actually did not believe you when you called and told us we would be receiving this hamper toys and money for gas. I thought it was a scam. When a cooker arrived, I cried, after months of struggling you actually sent us a brand new cooker. Today a lovely lady arrived with bags and bags of food for Xmas day. Toys for the children, she helped me hide them away, money for heating and cooking. How do you do this? how can we thank you. ?There was a tub of chocolates in the present sack I am sorry but we opened them straight away. They were called heroes just right. Thank you so much

Children’s eyes lighting up on Christmas morning, families bound together by joy

I am going to shamelessly ask you to donate funds to making this happen

EVERY PENNY GIVEN WILL GO TO CREATING CHRISTMAS FOR HUNGRY CHILDREN IN OUR COMMUNITY

Also, or alternatively new toys

Truths; I ask you please not to judge, but to accept that these are innocent Children going without.

• We are all volunteers I absolutely promise Every single penny donated will be spent on struggling families. NO Admin costs, no expenses

• We will provide as we did last year a full Christmas day hamper with Breakfast, Dinner, tea, cakes fruit and fancies. Sweets, mince pies for Santa carrots for reindeers (Average £110)

• We will give each family £40 for Electric or gas so they can be warm and cook their dinner

• We will give all families wrapped presents for the children

Last year even though we raised over £20,000 and with donations of food and The power company Utilita supplying vouchers for electric/gas we helped 200 families enjoy a normal Christmas day.

I though was so very aware and ashamed of so many we missed.

I appreciate organisations have not been able to raise funds this year and that this is a difficult ask.

Finally

Children are resilient, Children from poor families Know that Mum and Dad absolutely cannot afford Christmas food and presents for them.

They do not join in the excited Playground chatter, (ask yourself when you have ever heard a friend say “We will not be having any presents this year as Mummy and Daddy are poor”) often they would make up stories to be like their friends.

Yet they always accept that there will be nothing at the end of the bed.

Just think last year nearly 400 children woke up on Christmas morning expecting it to be no different from any other day.

But:

The house was warm, Mum and dad were happy, there was sound of breakfast coming from the kitchen, then there was a pile of presents at the end of their bed.

They knew That they were poor, they Knew Mum and dad could not provide them there could only be one solution.
