Story
Warkworth Harbour commission own Amble Pier and is in effect private property.
After some anglers on 31/12/16 recklessly had a BBQ and left the embers, serious damage occurred amounting to several thousands of pounds.
The commission have the power to stop angling or indeed anyone walking along the pier.
Amble Sea Angling Club promote safe and responsible angling and will themselves along with Amble Angling Centre and Rockpool bait be donating to this gesture of goodwill on behalf of the local angling community.
The total amount raised will be handed to the Harbour commission on the 01/02/2017 2017 and will be announced on https://www.facebook.com/ambleseaanglers

Started my fishing career on Amble pier over 50 years ago. Happy to help keep it open. It's important to have some easy access places for beginners to fish and they are becoming fewer as time goes on.
