Story

Hello everyone,

I'd like to tell you a story.

Back in 2015 I was blessed to have the most wonderful friend come into my life. Her name was Karolina (Kat) and she had the biggest smile and most positive attitude of anyone I'd ever met. Seriously - she was so happy all the time! lol

Kat was obviously raised by wonderful parents because her attitude to life made you want to be around her all of the time. She just attracted positive energy. She grew up in Poland and she would tell stories about her life there and all of the happy memories she had. One of her favourite things to do back home was go mushroom picking with her mum (there's a photo of her ad her mum picking mushrooms above lol)

Unfortunately, and for the love of God I don't know why this happens to anyone let alone the most wonderful people, they got some devastating news.

In November last year Kat's mum was diagnosed with lung cancer. It was OK to begin with because the doctors operated and they assured her they got it all (hooray!) and she wouldn't need chemo. Happy days!

She went about her normal life and even travelled to Edinburgh in April to visit Kat. While she was there though, she noticed some lumps on her thigh. She wasn't too worried because she was told that was normal. On her return home though, she went to get the lumps checked.

That cancer that had gone? The cancer that was cured? It had spread all over. The biggest tumour was in her brain right behind her eye. Inoperable because of where it was. The doctors told her the only option was radiotherapy and chemotherapy but even then it was unlikely that it would get any better.

Now I bring you to the present. Things don't look good. Kat, the happiest person in the world, is being told to expect the worst.

This money is to help Kat's family with any costs incurred due to this situation. It's for any medicine that they need to buy that they can't get via the hospital. It's for bills that will need to be paid and overall it's to make sure Kat's mum has as little stress in her life as possible.

Any donation is better than no donation so please, help us help Kat and her Mum.

One Love <3
