LOCAL CAUSE, PLEASE READ
We are holding a Football Tournament to raise money for a very worthy cause that is very close to our hearts. THIS IS NOT A CHARITY. One of our close friends and his family are going through a hard time currently and over the past few years and we wanted to break the mould and do something directly for him and his family. PLEASE READ ON....
Our friend, who we didn’t want to name as we felt it was unfair and this is a surprise however if he reads this he will know, along with his 2 brothers have become providers for the family after their mum (who we have also grown up knowing) became ill with Neuroendocrine Cancer, since then she has good days and bad days. Unfortunately support from the authorities isn’t there when it is needed the most. Our friend along with his brothers have had to grow up a lot faster than I am sure them or their mum would have liked. This day is purely about giving a family from this area a leg up because we love them and hope you can see the genuine reason we are doing this. These selfless brothers have ran several charity runs for NET Foundation and University of Birmingham, but now we think people should do something for him and his family.
Please join us down Grove Park on Sunday 25th August for a 5 a side football tournament. With a bouncy castle for the little’uns, refreshments on offer at the Cross Keys which will open onto the park and a friendly (we hope) football game or 2. We are asking for £10 per player and 6 players per team. If you cannot make the day but have a few spare pounds to donate then it will be greatly appreciated and go a long way in making a genuine family’s life‘s a little easier.
It would mean the world to us all to see you there. All welcome.
