I've raised £2000 to support Bristol homeless charity, Caring in Bristol & the WWF Climate Crisis Fund as part of our Greentech Grand Tour cycle to Amsterdam.

Last year, four keen cyclists from LettUs Grow cycled from London to attend Greentech in Amsterdam - the horticultural event that connects industry experts and innovators to share knowledge and network. Online calculators suggest that one flight from London to Amsterdam could generate between 99-130kg CO2 per person. So, the team managed to save up to 520kg CO2 from entering the atmosphere. That’s the equivalent of charging 63,254 smartphones!
This June, we’ll be taking on the journey again - and we’d like to use the opportunity to support some fantastic charities.
Introducing: the Greentech Grand Tour fundraiser 2023
We’ve decided to raise money for wo charities: one local charity, Caring in Bristol, that does incredible work supporting homeless communities and people in the city, and the WWF Climate Crisis Fund, which supports vital projects to help protect our incredible natural world.
Caring in Bristol: “Caring in Bristol delivers projects around homelessness that engage an amazing community of volunteers, bringing people together to make change happen. We are striving to create a society where everyone has a home, has hope and is part of their community. We don’t believe that homelessness is a simple issue with a simple solution. That’s why we work across a number of projects helping people move away from the streets and preventing people becoming homeless in the first place.”
WWF Climate Crisis Fund : “Climate change has left our world in crisis, and our natural habitats under threat like never before. We know what we need to do to change this – but we need your help to support our projects: Protecting the Amazon, Restoring Forests and Habitats, Safeguarding Polar Worlds, and Advocacy.”
We’ll be doing the journey over two days, with approximately 88 miles covered on day 1, followed by a further 55 miles after taking the ferry from Harwich to Hook of Holland.
We’d be thrilled if you could support our cycle by donating to our chosen charities. We’re aiming to raise £2000 - so every penny helps!
