Story

Over the past 12/13 years my mum has battled the dreaded cancer. Most receny, my mum got diagnosed with cancer for the fourth time just before Christmas… that’s right - the fourth time!

Along with lung cancer she also got diagnosed with phenomena and emphysema, so all in all she’s been really poorly and still is. We’re thankful that the doctors believe that her cancer can be treated, but as anyone who has gone through this before knows, it’s never a quick process.

In order to support my mum and my family through this process a bit better, I’m wanting to raise a bit of money whilst setting myself the challenge of completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks. If you’ve never heard of the Yorkshire Three Peaks or don’t know what it entails, ill break it down for you…

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres), usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These hills form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. So far, there is a group of approximately 15 of us planning on taking on the challenge in March 2025, so your donations will not only be helping my mum and my family through this difficult time, but pushing us all to ensure that we complete the challenge set!

Any support is much appreciated, thank you.
