The Lewes Pound wants to give local food bank users some more control over their own lives and enable them to enjoy some of the small treats that many of take for granted. Baked beans and tins of soup may keep them and their families alive, but they are missing out on some of the small pleasures in life. That might be a coffee out, a trip to the cinema, decent butchers sausages or books for the grandkids.
