There was a time when my world became smaller.

Hospital appointments replaced plans. Medications replaced normality. Energy became something I had to measure carefully. And in the middle of uncertainty, one truth became clear:

Life is fragile — and incredibly precious.

Thanks to the selfless gift of organ donation, I was given a second chance at life. A second chance to breathe deeply. To move freely. To dream again.

Now, I have the opportunity to do something I once never thought possible — to compete in the European Transplant Games.

The Games are more than a sporting event. They are a celebration of survival, resilience, and gratitude. Every athlete standing on that start line represents hope. We compete not just for medals, but in honour of our donors and their families — the true heroes behind every finish line.
