Hello!

As many of you know, I’ve been a part of The Scouts for many years. Happily, I have been selected for the Central Yorkshire 2024 Scout Expedition to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Once there, I will be leading a team of scouts on a climb of the highest mountain in North Africa, Mt Toubkal.

Im super privileged to have been selected, and can’t wait to make some amazing memories in in this incredible part of the world.

As a volunteer leader on this trip, I’ll have the help and support of other UK leaders and a local guide.

While we are in Morocco, the scouts will experience traditional Berber life in a mountain village and support a community project Association Les Enfants de l'Atlas a foundation which cares for abandoned Moroccan children. Sadly, approximately 24 children are abandoned every day in the country.

To help raise money, I will be completing a couple of sponsored events.

My first plan for fundraising, a rock climbing challenge has been shelved due to ongoing issues with an injured shoulder.

Instead, I’m taking part in a gruelling 15km Tough Mudder on the 7th July and will run my first half marathon.
