Easter 2026 Fundraiser – In Loving Memory of Wncwl Dai & Wncwl Emrys
Easter 2026 is going to mean something very special to me. This year I’m fundraising in memory of two very important people in my life my Wncwl Dai and my Wncwl Emrys.
Ty Bryngwyn Hospice cared for my Wncwl Dai when he was just 54 years old after he was diagnosed with lung cancer. The care he received there was nothing short of incredible. They didn’t just support him they supported our whole family during one of the hardest times of our lives. The kindness, dignity and compassion they showed will never be forgotten.
I am also raising money for Prostate Cymru in memory of my Wncwl Emrys, who sadly passed away at just 61 years old from prostate cancer. By supporting Prostate Cymru, I hope to help fund their vital work raising awareness, supporting men and families across Wales, and investing in research and treatment that can save lives in the future.
As a young business owner at Chickwood Poultry, I wanted to use something positive and community-focused to honour them both. So this Easter I’ll be selling hand-knitted chicks with Crème Eggs inside.
All money raised will be split 50/50 between Ty Bryngwyn Hospice and Prostate Cymru. Although this fundraiser is being promoted through Chickwood Poultry, the business will not make anything from it. I am simply using my brand and its connection to chicks at Easter to help promote the campaign and raise as much as possible for these two charities. Every penny raised will go directly to them.
If you’re able to donate to help with the purchase of the eggs, sell chicks to family and friends, take a basket into your workplace or retail outlet, or support in any way at all, it would truly mean the world to me.
