Lexa Cooper is a gorgeous little girl and the youngest of 4 children to Rachael and Jay.

Lexa was a happy go lucky little 2 year old who was a little chatterbox and loved playing with her 2 brothers Leland and Luca and big sister Layla.

In September 2019 Lexa lost the ability to walk and was bum shuffling and her speech had started to slur Amd had abnormal eye movements. Lexa had to have a MRI scan where it showed she had a posterior fossa mass and hydrocephalus amd was referred to oncology just 5 Weeks agter her first symtoms had started. Lexa had a diagnosis of Ependymoma.

lexa was in surgery just days after being seen in oncology and endured a 15 hour procedure to remove the tumour. Lexa them presented further problems and took back into theatre to have a stent fitted. Lexa also has to havs a feeding tube.

This brave little girl had to have chemo and radiotheraphy and spent along 7 months in hospital, missing xmas last year completely and the other 3 children never complained once.

Lexa rung the bell finally in May 2020 amd was finally given the all clear. Sadly 4 months later Lexa cancer has returned. This time shes able to have chemo at home which Rachael and Jay had to be taught how to give it to her along with feeds through the peg.

Rachael is disabled herself and sometimes her illnes she ends up in a wheelchair due to pain and discomfort herself this has also proved challenging at times.

Lexa along with Layla, Luca & Leland didn’t have a xmas last year and now xmas approaches again Lexa has her diagnosis.

Myself and 2 other ladies have decided to get together and make this the best christmas these 4 children Rachael and Jay could ask for.

I turned up at Rachael and Jays last week as I’d been out and bought them a xmas tree all the decorations to go on it as they didnt have one and hadnt the spare money to go and get one. Lexa little face was a picture and xmas has aleeady started in the household the tree is up the older children made paper chains.

This week I arranged for the family to have a photoshoot as memories are precious.

All the money we raise will be spent on these 4 children along with a xmas hamper for the family and for them to enjoy xmas with out a worry.
