Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I am reaching out to you to ask for your support in a fundraising event that I am currently organising to raise money on behalf of Wigan Gymnastics Club.
My daughter, Lexie who is 7 years old has been attending Wigan Gymnastics club for the last 12 months.
She has taken place in UK competitions over this time already.
Recently Lexie and other girls from her club have been invited to compete internationally in Malta, it will take place in November over a weekend. The cost of the trip is in excess of £450 per child, which as I’m sure you can appreciate is a large sum. Although parents aren’t allowed to travel and stay with their children, most will attend the competition to see their girl compete – which further increases the cost of the event per family.
To support and assist the club and make it possible for more of the girls to attend the trip, we (parents) are arranging fundraising events locally. Any sponsorship raised will go towards the cost of the girls attending the competition (not the parents) we are looking to raise £1500.
So…. We are arranging a charity evening at a local golf club for adults and children in October. There is obviously costs involved in arranging this and I am looking for donations / sponsorship to cover the costs of the entertainment as listed below, which we anticipate to be approx. £500.
We will sell tickets to cover the cost of the venue and food. Below are some of the costs we need to cover and would ask for your support – any donations would be greatly appreciated.
• Singer / Band
• Clown (children’s entertainment)
• Raffle Prizes
Can you help and support us to raise the money needed to help the Wigan Gymnastics Girls get to Malta ???
