Leyland Rotary is raising £250 for End Polio Now.

💜 Leyland Rotary: Light Up Leyland for World Polio Day on 24th October.

Leyland Rotary is joining thousands of Rotary clubs across the globe to raise awareness and funds for End Polio Now. So between 13th October and 9th November 2025, Rotary Leyland are hoping to raise £250 to help to End Polio.

Why purple? When a child receives the polio vaccine, their little finger is marked with purple ink – a symbol of protection, hope, and progress.

We’re asking for your help to support the fight to end polio for good. We’re so close – with a 99.9% reduction in cases since 1988 – but we must keep going until the job is done and no child is at risk.

👉 Every £1 can help protect up to 5 children with a life-saving vaccine.

We know times are tough. There are so many important causes out there, and we’re all being asked to give when we can. But if you’re able to spare even £1, it can make a real difference — that £1 could help vaccinate up to 5 children against a disease that we can eradicate in our lifetime.
