Story
LGBT young people face discrimination and isolation on a daily basis leading to them suffering from anxiety, depression, substance abuse and at times suicide. LGBT Melton is a youth project that provides specific support to 14-18 year olds who identify as LGBT+ and who are in of support to help them through difficult times and to improve there current situation.
We aim to do this my encouraging our members to be themselves and be proud of who they are, empower them to have confidence in themselves and educate the people around the wider community to prevent the discrimination.
We run every week and try to provide fun activities and food for our members. We want to continue doing this without having to charge our members for our services.
Any support would be greatly appreciated in helping us to continue to provide the support to the LGBT young people of Melton Mowbray.
