Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Walter is a very special older chap who was rescued 1 year ago by the JSPCA when his previous owner fell ill. He hadn't been outside in a very long time and he was in a bad way when he first arrived and needed multiple surgeries, including the removal of his ear canal, teeth (which landed him in the vet for a week due to how badly his mouth was infected), tumors, and lumps and he needed a lot of treatment for his very sore skin and to help gain weight and strength. We fostered Walter for 6 months to help him recover, learn how to be social and do everything he has been missing out on. When he was healthy enough to be put up for adoption, it was very clear he wasnt going anywhere!
The last hurdle in Walter's journey is his eyes. He was blind (and with being deaf too, this makes it even more important), and this surgery is hopefully going to give him his sight back. We need to travel to the uk for 3 weeks and then have 2 x weekly vet visits in Jersey and 1 x a month in the UK. Due to everything being pre-existing, insurance will not cover anything.
With the surgery and vet bills costing around £10,000, we have had a few people mention setting up a JustGiving page. Not that we like to ask, but friends have said they would like to contribute to help him, so we are putting it out there: any help is very much appreciated.
