So the plan is to run half a marathon on october the 15th to raise money for childhood cancer charity. Cancer has affected several members of my family, including my mum who had bowel cancer (thankfully now clear of cancer)....I had a melanoma; skin cancer on my back in 2016 (thankfully this was removed in surgery and had not spread to any organs)... sadly my two brothers lost their mother-in-laws to cancer...My two sister in laws have lost their Mums and they have been a big inspiration the way they have kept going...

We hear more and more about people who have lost people to cancer and I guess its that reason why I want to make a difference by raising money to help fund some research that could help save lives. I also wish to send half of the money to childhood cancer who send gift packages out to children who have been diagnosed with cancer. I have seen many pictures of the faces of the children when they open their parcels and are ao excited by all the treats. This is such a small thing we can do in a way yet it makes them happy while many of them are undergoing intensive radiation and chemotherapy treatment. The reality is some of these children dont return home to their parents and siblings. So this is just a small and practical way of giving these dear children some enjoyment while they are going through such a hard time!
