We work in a school for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties. The pupils we work with are an amazing lot and deserve to be able to access great resources across the school to enhance and stimulate their learning journey. As the Literacy coordinator I'm passionate about our pupils having an exciting Library which is an environment appropriate to all their needs. The library and equipment needs to accessible for all our pupils who have a range of abilities and the resources need to be varied; for example sensory stories, audio stories, large books for sharing, box books and more. Having a space that is designed to support our pupils gives them a greater chance of feeling success at everything they attempt.

Therefore, Carms and myself are going to complete the Bedford half marathon on the 2nd September to raise money towards a new library. Carms hates running outside and I can't run that far so this is some thing that will challenge us both.
