Story

Who are we?

We are a group of Leeds University students who are passionate about the arts. Many of us are hoping to pursue a career within the theatre and, therefore, this production is extremely important to us as Edinburgh is a great platform where many shows get transferred, toured and are received by agents. Together with Leeds based Aireborne Theatre Company, we are taking our show to the fringe festival for the first time for a two-week run.

Why are we fundraising?

We really need help to bring our new piece of writing, 'The Insignificant Life & Death of Colin McKenzie' to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018. We've got a fantastic venue and cast, however, we really need help to cover the costs of the production to make it as good as it can be!

Where will my donation go?

Although the cost of the venue has been covered, we still have a lot to pay for to make the production as good as it can possibly be! Your donation will go to the costs of set and promotional material, props, costume, insurance, and so on.

What's the show about?

Colin McKenzie has only forty minutes left to live! Come join us for the final moments of Colin's brilliant, majestic and totally mundane existence! A once in a lifetime opportunity to witness what we are all destined to become... dead! Will Colin discover his wife's adulterous behaviour? Will he realise his son is, in fact, attending college and not school? Will he finally comprehend that soda water and lime is not the best drink in the drinks cabinet? Only time will tell! Not appropriate for those prone to existential breakdowns!

Any financial support would be extremely generous and helpful! Thank-you.
