The Longton Players need to raise a considerable amount of money to purchase essential stage lighting equipment in order to continue staging top class productions so, as a member of the Players I'm trying to do my bit.
The ageing stage electrical and lighting system is in need of replacement. We have been advised that this really is necessary if we want to ensure we can continue to use the facility for future productions/plays/pantomimes/etc.
We know that, if left as it is, the stage lighting is so old and out of date that it could fail at any minute and without a lighting system we won't be able to continue.
As a starter I will be running the Wigan 10K on 3rd September and would appreciate as much support as I can get to carry me over the finish line.
Any donations, whether for my run or just out of generosity to the Players, will be greatly appreciated.
I've set a low target to try to have something achievable for me, but the total we need is a lot more than this so feel free to dig deep and beat the target goal 🙂
