LILA'S LEGACY NEEDS A NEW ROOF - SAVE OUR SOGGY MOGGYS!

As the downpour on Saturday 28th July 2018 clearly proved, the PVC roof in the sun room is well past its sell by date. Since our humble beginnings in February 2015, £100s have been spent trying to fix what was a makeshift job to begin with, and the time has come to bite the bullet and get it done properly, complete with a guarantee. Our keenest quote of 4 came in from Geoghegan Conservatories at £6900. After a bit of sweet talking to the managing director, himself a cat lover, we have got a further £500 off the price and we have given the go ahead before the rain sets in again. What we need now are fundraising ideas and willing participants to help us raise as much as possible towards keeping our elderly residents dry and warm in winter and comfortable in summer. We are open to any suggestions you may have and ask anyone prepared to assist in supermarket bag packing, fundraising coffee mornings, any sponsored sporting events etc to please send me your details and ideas. As you all know, our vet bills are ongoing, our heating bills for this past LONG winter were extortionate, and our food costs are high, but after a major flood in the legacy last Saturday which took 4 of us the best part of the afternoon to contain and clean up after, we can no longer hold off.

So please, folks, let's get the thinking caps on and come up with a plan to KEEP OUR KITTIES DRY! Thank you
