Lill Brothers of Bradford, West Yorkshire believe in supporting and bringing about community cohesion, uniting people from different cultural and religious backgrounds together. As I have done previously, also it is just as essential to get different charities together as illness and age does not discriminate when facing life limiting conditions.

At our 2019 charity event, I announced that it would be my last one of this nature / size. This was a tough decision to make but was based on difficulties I found managing the amount of work and preparation that went into organising such a huge occasion. However, since then I have had time to think and ponder over this decision. Family and friends have helped to reassure me that charity work is in my blood and I should not give up when so much good is being done because of my determined efforts. This has given me new drive to continue

About the fundraiser
From a young age charity work has always played a significant part in my life. My hero and late father, Mohammed Rashid, was an unstoppable force when it came to charity work and I’m proud to say this legacy has left its mark on me too.
