Hi everyone! Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.

I am volunteering abroad next summer in Sri Lanka for a month with SLV.Global. SLV.Global is a volunteering organisation based in London which focuses on global mental health and raising awareness about this issue which is still not well known or accepted in some countries. Volunteering with SLV.Global will give me the chance to share my knowledge that I have learned while at University as a Psychology student. As well as gaining experience and knowledge to share and help other people in the future.

Spending time volunteering in Memusi school this summer in Kenya showed me how it is easy to take things for granted and it was amazing to see a new culture and see the smiles and love the children gave even though they had so little. This is why I want to volunteer more and do everything I can to help, even if it only makes a small impact it will still make a difference.

While on this placement I will be teaching people from all ages and backgrounds, observing and visiting schools, psychiatric hospitals and more. The money I raise here will be spent on my placement fee (£1,500) so I can go to Sri Lanka and start helping others as much as I can!
