I've raised £1000 to fund the Limitless Foundation's work, in memory of Xilombe.

Xilombe was a truly extraordinary young man, so it is only fitting that in his memory I embark upon an extraordinary expedition. Myself, my sister, and a small group of his friends and family from South Africa, will be climbing Kilimanjaro (the words tallest freestanding mountain) later this year to raise awareness and funds for the Limitless Foundation. 'Limitless' was founded by Xilombe in 2016, after he lost his arm in a freak hiking accident a few years earlier. The charity works to provide children in South Africa, suffering from both mental and physical disabilities, the opportunities and means to overcome the obstacles they face, allowing them to lead fulfilling lives despite the adversity - just like Xilombe. The timing is of this trip is no coincidence, as this year marks 5 years since Xilombe lost his arm, and in light of this he had decided to take on the challenge of Kilimanjaro. Since Xilombe is no longer with us, it is our responsibility to ensure his legacy lives on, so please give whatever you can. My trip has kindly been sponsored, so you can be sure that every penny you donate will go directly to a cause that was so close heart.
For those who did not have the privilege of meeting Xilombe, I have attached a video of an interview he did back in 2016 where he describes his story (far more eloquently than I could!), and you can get a sense of his character.
