Story

My Challenge
To celebrate my 60th birthday and my retirement, I will be cycling 1260 miles from Land's End to John o' Groats in aid of Pepper's- A Safe Place.

My journey will be both a physical and mental challenge. I will be cycling 50 miles a day, carrying my supplies and camping along route for 28 days. You can follow my journey here https://lejogblog22.wordpress.com/

Why am I doing this?
Pepper's is a local mental health group with centres in Oakham and Melton Mowbray. They offer a safe space where any adults can come and socialise, reconnect with the community, make friends, take a break from daily stresses, relax and feel welcome.
This is a cause that is close to my heart, the past couple of years have been a roller coaster for us all with many experiencing mental health challenges for the first time and for many with ongoing conditions they have been locked-down and lonely for months, struggling with constant uncertainty, their support networks disappear.
How can you help?
Your donation however big or small will help Peppers to support the mental health and wellness of our community. We will be able to provide activities, such as Tai Chi and cookery classes, maintain our premises on the High Street, help people re-connect and get back into society.
