    Story

The first church in Siddal was built in 1869 but the original building quickly became to small for the needs of the growing community. In 1915 our current building was built and since then St Mark's church has been the centre of Siddal Village Halifax celebrating birth, death and marriage and weekly worship of God. The Church of England is commited to not only growing the worshiping community in Siddal but to creating a community hub that all villagers can use. At the moment we have no heat and in the winter that means the building is very cold. Please help us to raise the money needed to heat this fabulous building, to enable us to continue to support local unitormed groups and other activites and to look at new and exciting ventures. We are a local church here to support our local community. Siddal and Exley.

Guys I cant fathom how to do individual thank you's in this... but just a massive thank you one again to everyone. This page alone has raised now close to £1.5k. I am so grateful. We had 250 school children in church today building Chritingles and looking around but after 20 mins they were freezing in the church. Thanks to your generosity and hopefully some grant money coming good, next year we will have heat.
