Story
Hi Millie is a beautiful, loving bichon that brings lots to our Family. In October 2018 she started limping and it was a torn crutia ligament. She had an operation and apart from being in pain seemed fine, then on her check up they said that the stitch had broken and that she would have to have another operation whereby they would put in a metal plate. This was successful and healing well. All in all it cost over £3,000. New years day she started limping again on a visit to the vet she has torn the ligament in her other leg and dislocated her knee cap. She has described her as a very unlucky dog and that it may have been caused by the weight she has put on this leg having had an op on the other. So she needs another operation which we cant as a family afford. At the moment she can not walk and is in a lot of pain. It is heartbreaking to watch and we cant bear the thought of having her put down when she has a lot of life left. Please can you help my dog to walk again and enjoy her life again. She is cheeky and cute and is loved and cherished by everyone that meets her.

6 years agoMilly had her latest operation yesterday. The vet is quite worried as the bone where he did the metal work is infected. He has taken all the metal work out and has built a metal cage around the leg to stabilise it. She is on strong antibiotics to cure the infection and she is back again on Friday to check her. She is also on pain meds. Good news is her other leg is healing well. She is not a happy doggy at the moment and has one very tired mum zzzzzzzz

6 years agoMilly saw the surgeon today. Good news her knee has naturally gone back into place again and her right leg is healing nicely and strong. So she no longer needs an operation for that. However her first operation on her left leg is not healing quite so good so she needs another operation on this which is booked i for 12th March, the vet has said he would do for free. Phew! She's had her stitches out today and is still slightly sedated . Peace at last I managed to get a bath without her crying to be in the bathroom with me.

6 years agoWOW! We are now sitting at 57%. Milly and I are overwhelmed at the support. I took Milly to the vet this week and she is healing well. As you know her kneecap was dislocated and the vet hoped it would right itself once the second crutia ligament had been fixed. Unfortunately it has not. So she has to have another operation to do that. The good news is the vet is going to do it for free. Everyone loves Milly. We have decided to wait a little to give her time to get over her other operations. I will keep you updated.

We brought Millie ten years ago when I was married and we were both earning good salaries, so didn't get insurance. I am now divorcing (thankfully I got custody) and money is tight after using all my savings on Millys care I cant afford the next operation.
