I've raised £400 to Help Tristan's dream come true.

Tristan's Dream
Hi everyone,
I’m running Derry marathon on the 3rd of June and I am hoping to raise some much needed funds to go towards making Tristan’s dream come true, in purchasing a running blade, after he needed to have his leg amputated last year. There are different fundraising events taking place to help him achieve this dream and with a cost of over $35,000, every pound helps!
Please support this very worthy cause!
Here’s his story:
"This is our son Tristin he is 15 years old. In March 2017 aged then 14 Tristin was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer called Synovial Sarcoma after complaining with a pain above his right knee for some time. It was originally thought by doctors that he had a cyst, which after surgery to be removed turned out to be a tumour. A few weeks later we were given the devastating news that Tristin’s only treatment would be to have his leg amputated. In June 2017, Tristin underwent Rotationplasty surgery which involved having an above knee amputation, then having his foot reattached backwards to create a new knee joint. Following Tristin’s diagnosis and surgery he has shown nothing but positivity, courage and his determination always shines through. There is a chance of Tristin’s cancer returning to his lungs, so he has chest x-rays every 3 months to make sure it hasn't. Despite everything Tristin never complains he won't ever let this hold him back. He has one dream to be able to run again one day, and we hope to raise enough to purchase a blade for Tristin to make his dream come true." Mandy (Tristin's Mum)
