    Story

I had been fighting my stomach cancer for four months when I made the decision that I really needed some further help. The NHS had written me off, saying that my cancer was incurable and unless i had chemo to prolong my life by an expected 3 months there was nothing they could do. Refusing to except this wasnt hard, but fighting the disease without any medical support was.

I lost alot of weight (3 stone) and was finding it difficult to keep the food i should be eating down, i was worried and my sister and I began researching clinics abroad that could help. We decided on Sanoviv after having a skype consultation with various clinics. The decision to go was made quickly because for the first time since my diagnosis, I thought if I dont get help, I am going to die of starvation not Cancer!

I was fortunate in that my sister could borrow me the money to go untill my house sale went through. I knew it would be alot of money and I already had made the decision beforehand that should it get to this point, I would sell my house to fund treatment.

My sister and I travelled to Mexico on the 2nd of September and I returned on the 23rd. What a difference those 3 weeks have made. Sanoviv Medical Institute have given me my life back. They performed the operation our NHS said was not possible. I had 90% of my stomach removed (along with the tumour which was blocking food from being digested properly, which is why i was being sick and couldnt eat) and 2 lymph nodes and also my spleen (precautionary measure as the cancer had infiltrated this). Whilst i was under they also gave me targeted chemotherapy for the peritoneum to stop any cells from developing or spreading.

The doctor informed us that the cancer had not spread to any other major organs, but they would still like me to undertake further precautionary measures and treatments to ensure i remain cancer free.

The surgery and stay at Sanoviv cost £68,500 and further treatment will be approximately £15,000. I also have to maintain my diet and supplement regime for life. My house sale will help with this but it is not enough to pay for everything. My family and friends are all trying to raise money and have been doing sponsored runs, candle parties, car boot sales and we are organising a soul, r&b and mowtown night on Friday 27th of October 2017 (if interested please email lifesaversoul@outlook.com).

Any further help and support you can give me would be gratefully received as i have to now start over with nothing. I have cashed in my pensions and literally spent everything i have worked all my life for, to literally save my life.

thank you in advance for your generousity, love and support.

I am going to the clinic in Mexico on Wednesday. I have been lucky in that I have been able to borrow the money until my house has been sol and any funds raised can be collected. It means that at last I will have a medical team looking at my case, running full blood histories and diagnosis on the mass to then determine a course of treatment. That treatment could be targeted chemo (much less invasive than regular chemo and goes straight to the problem area) or a host of pioneering treatments. I will keep you posted x x
