The second amount of money has been sent over. They have completed the water intake at the stream. Next step is to build a 10,000 litre water storage tank ( that the whole village will use) which the second amount will fund. I will be collecting and raising money for the next stage of supplying and laying the pipes. Then the installation of two smaller storage tanks at the school.

I have sent over the first £1300 to get the project has started ! The total to raise is £6000

The initial reason this started.....

In October 2015 80 independent ladies decided to raise as much as they could for Women V Cancer by cycling 400 km across Tanzania, on the way through on Day 4 they visited Shaurimoyo primary school To give the children pens, clothes, books, toothbrushes etc that they had all donated to help the school, challenging themselves cycling 400k in Tanzania they soon forgot what they were doing and became mesmerised by the children and their spirit. Saddened to learn that they don't have the most basic thing of having clean water at the school. We as a group decided to try and make a difference and raise the funds to correct that and put pipes and storage tanks into the school from a near by water source so that the children can, at the very least, have fresh drinking water at school...a basic necessity that we all take for granted....
