On the 28th December 2017 after being on holiday for 2 weeks in Thailand Pat (Paddy) fell, this fall led to tragic consequences. After what he thought was a minor fall turned into a living nightmare. He developed a bleed on the brain, this led to phenomena and limited movement on the left side of his body.

Lindsay his step-daughter and partner flew out to Thailand whilst on their own holiday in Australia to support Pat as much as possible. Whilst there they had to witness a cardiac arrest which resulted to Lindsay having to make some life affecting decisions. At this point Pat's heart stopped, Lindsay was advised by staff members that this was a crucial point and had to remain by his side.

Flights were cancelled, holiday put to one side to remain where most needed - by Pat's bedside.

Pat has been bedridden since and to this date has still not regained; standing, walking or talking properly. At this point we are unsure as to what the future holds for him.

Thankfully we believe the insurance has covered the medical bills and air ambulance flight home, which has only just taken place 3 months after the initial accident.

Pat currently resides in a hospital in England which we are waiting on medical advice to understand the extent of his brain injury and long term affect going forward.

Lindsay needs a little help whether big or small to assist her in making sure she does for Pat what he would do for her.

We need to get Pat back to some form of normality and make sure his life and home is still there for him when hopefully he returns.

Lindsay will be competing in a 5k race for life on behalf of Pat this summer along with many other events to help raise funds.
