Linear Park JFC was born out of the need to inspire young children to participate in football when most of them had previously been rejected by their local community club. Our kids were not seen as suitable for that team as the academy had already selected their team for the coming season.

It was in the summer of that year that we found out by accident there was no place for our children to play football, unless another coach was found. I decided to be that coach, along with another couple of Dads who were prepared to help where they could. The Mums, as with all Junior football teams were the backbone of support.

We played a season with the community club with very little support by way of coaching and assistance to guide us through as very new experience for all involved. The FA mentor however was excellent but after much frustration we decided to go it alone.

Linear Park JFC is now an affiliated club for the upcoming 2017 / 2018 season with the hope of joining the Knowsley Development League. We have little equipment and no pitch or goals to call our own and no sponsors to help with any costs. We are looking to raise money, not just for this team but for all teams that may want to join us in the future.

Our moto is 'prosperitas in excelsis' which means 'flourishing well'

We do not, and will not turn any child away that wants to play football, but we cannot do that without the funds to fulfil that promise.
