Myself and Linsey will be going to Swaziland, Africa next year 28th Jan-12th Feb to volunteer for a charity called challenge ministries.

We are hoping due to our job roles in care we will be able to provide valuable information and skills whilst we are there.

During the first week. We will be helping in many different ways such as building/painting schools, etc. Working in the men's rehab and women's home helping to learn valuable life skills such as reading, writing and working to help get on a better life path. In the women's centre we will be helping with how to stay safe as well as helping repair their past.

Challenge ministries provide the materials then the volunteers work with locals to complete a project such as building schools, farming, agriculture and breeding animals to ensure the community is sustainable and can support itself once volunteers have gone.

For the second week we will be working in Bulembu. A self sustaining community which supports itself with timber, dairy, water and honey businesses and has a highly successful school holding 300 children.
Bulembu supports on going care for orphaned children from birth all the way through to adulthood.
We will spend our time supporting projects and spending time with the children and assisting in after school clubs etc.

We will be funding a large portion of this trip ourselves however we need around a further £800 to reach our goal.
We have done and will be doing various activities to raise money such as, coffee mornings, sponsored runs, making arts and crafts to sell and many more.
