Linzi Page is crowdfunding
Weʼre raising £50,000 to fund cancer treatments not available on the NHS (treatment is c.£25k per year).
What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Story
My Story: “The day you become a Mum is the day you start watching your heart walk around outside of your body”.
My name is Linzi Page, i am 36 and “Linzi’s Army” is fundraising to provide access to cancer treatments that sadly the NHS cannot fund. The funds will give me access to chemotherapy that will prolong my life further and give me access to cutting edge treatments. Any monies not used directly for this cause will be donated to Maggies Cancer Centres and Bowel Cancer UK.
I am married to Mark and have 2 young children - Calan (5) and Charlotte (2), who are my world. In April 2018 my perfect world was shattered when I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic bowel cancer and furthermore to be told in December it was now incurable. I was fit, healthy and despite rectal bleeding, never expected to be told I had cancer, much less the severity of the diagnosis.
My biggest battle is not the chemotherapy, the surgery or the endless hospital trips. It is the thought of missing out on all the milestones that I should be there to share with my children - 1st day at school, school plays, sporting achievements, their weddings and all their successes. I want my kids to remember that I did everything I could to be with them as long as possible and to make as many memories as we could.
I want my legacy to be filled with joy and laughter. So... who‘s with me?

4 months agoI am now 2 cycles into my new treatment and it is all going great! I got my latest scan results on the 16/8 and it was confirmation that it is all going well... I am now just left with 2 tumours on my liver at 1cm each (from 6) 😄. Massive thank you to everyone that has helped support me this far ... long may the positive news continue 💪🏾. Thanks 😘 xx

6 months agoI am scheduled to start my new treatment on 22/7. My latest scan showed that my previous chemo had shrunk the tumours significantly. But now that this chemo is finished (I can only stay on that for a short period due it’s toxicity), it’s time to start the new one. Avastin is a maintenance chemo so the plan is that it will maintain the tumours in their current state and keep me around for a longer time! It is all your pennies that have helped me get to this position where I can fund this, so thank you and fingers crossed the plan works 😘 xxx

Last of the money finally counted from the fundraiser. This money was raised by my little brother, Stuart Taylor's work, BP garages around Edinburgh and Fife.
