My son Finley has high functioning Autisim & also sensory processing difficulties.
He is currently going through a tough time with hospital where for the last couple of years he has been under a paediatrician for his bowel, as he struggles to poo, resulting in him going every 7 - 10 days.
Finley also has tight tendons which means he has to keep having his feet plastered flat and physio to help stretch the tendons as he has walked on tippy toes from the 1st day of walking.
Finley is unable to sleep in his own room due to extreme levels of anxieties due to ASD and we are currently moving his bedroom to a bigger bedroom in the house wanting to give him a sensory style bedroom, hoping to make him feel calm, a place where he can go and have his own time but mist of all help him process the many different textures, lights and sounds that are more calming for him to cope with.
Finley faces many challenges on a daily basis and he is an amazing charismatic, charming loving little boy who deserves this one place that makes him feel calm.
I'm needing your support in helping make this dream a reality as we would like to get Finly an Autism light pack which includes the bubble lamps, fibre optic light strands plus much much more that would be really beneficial to help meet some of Finleys needs.
Finley has a long road ahead of him in the coming months with his bowel and we are still waiting in a diagnosis , he has to have a genetics test done also and as his mum I would love to just be able to make Finley feel less anxious about being scared or sleeping alone at night in his bedroom if we good give him an amazing bedroom.
