We rescued Lottie about a month ago and she had obviously had this injury for quite a while with her previous owners as the vet said she has approximately 50-60% muscle wastage. The vet thinks that her knee is popping out of its joint which is incredibly painful for her. We have her on constant pain relief and she is booked in for her X-ray next Wednesday. The X-ray alone costs £150 and the surgery is £500 if the X-ray proves that the problem is what the vet thinks it is. We can't claim on insurance as this was an existing problem when we rescued her and I wouldn't be able to afford the surgery until at least after Christmas which is not fair on Lottie when she is in this much pain, which is why I'm asking for donations to try and get her better and out of pain sooner. The kennels we rescued her from did offer to take her back and try and raise the funds themselves for the operation but she is a part of our family now and we don't want her back in kennels where she was distressed.
