People in china have a large annual festival in which they torture and eat dogs, they believe that the dog meat will not taste good unless the dog is tortured, this includes getting boiling hot water poured over them.

I'm trying to raise funds to rescue a dog from China, I'm working with a local charity which aims to rescue animals from the country's dog meat trade and slaughterhouses. It is estimated that millions of dogs are killed for their meat in China every year. Many of the dogs have suffered horrific abuse with some also suffering serious health conditions such as parvovirus and canine distemper.
