On 13th September I will be taking part in the Great North Run completing 13.1 miles, and I'd like to raise a bit of money for a fantastic local support center for adults with learning difficulties. As many of you know my niece, Jessica, has a had a tough few years but just over 2 years ago, she started attending The Cunningham Hub day service in St. Albans. At first, she was unsure and nervous about going along but slowly she has become more and more involved with the activities and the fun! She now loves her sessions and has made fantastic friends who she loves to chat with, and it has given her a community. The staff are amazing; kind, patient, fun, caring, dedicated plus a whole lot more! They try to think of different activities and experiences to enhance the sessions so any additional funds I can raise will help them to keep offering opportunities to the adults that attend.
