Story
This Sunday I will be running my very first half matathon, The Great North Run! I would love to help raise some money for my cousin Grant Taylor, a cockermouth lad!
Grant has a rare muscle wasting condition, Hereditary Motor Neuropathy. Grant is now 23 but from 12 years old his muscles have been wasting away, forcing him to rely on crutches and a wheelchair!
Grant has always pushed himself, he has been a swimmer for most of his life and made the Paralympic trails for London 2012! Unfortunately the muscles in his wrist have wasted away stopping from moving his hands properly!
This does not stop him! After taking part in a talent day Grant has been invited to take part in the Paralympic training program for sit skiing European championships, going to Holland and Dubai training camps!
To take part in this program Grant has to pay his own way and also buy his own sit ski, skis and clothing! Please help to support this determined local athlete and a fantastic young man!
Thank you, any contribution you can make will be greatly recieved!xx

Hi Lisa, I was part of the charity bike ride team to Barrow and wanted to donate after that! Good luck and glad to help Grant, he's a top man.
