Story

Our family have begun a fundraising page to raise donations for the alzheimers societys reasearch into the condition, we will be walking 7k to raise as much money as we can. £150 could fund the equipment and resources needed for three days of a dementia reasearchers vital investigations.

Our nanna/mam got diagnosed with dementia, this is a syndrome (a group of related symptoms) associated with an ongoing decline of brain functioning, this may include problems with, memory loss, thinking speed, language, understanding, mood and movement, most of which my nanna/mam struggles with on a daily basis. Our nanna/mam has become uninteresed in her usual activities which she used to love doing and doest socialise like she used to. All of which is heartbreaking for us to watch and see daily. This is why we need to fight back against this awful disease and do whatever we can to try and help find a cure and to raise as much awareness as we can.

Our nanna/mam is the most loving, kind, funny, honest and most careing person we know, even thought dementia has changed her in many ways we still see the same woman we have always know and loved! Please help us to raise as much as we can, even if everyone donated two pound we would be forever grateful.

Thank you

Susan, Donna, Janine, and Lisa xx
