Story
We are raising money to help our mum get the cancer treatment that she needs at a specialist cancer clinic in Germany. Having been recently diagnosed with cervical, nodal and metastatic cancer of the bone on the 7th February 2018, we have been told by the doctors that her cancer is incurable. We refuse to believe this as anybody who knows Mum, knows how strong a lady she is and what a fighter she is! Having done our own research and speaking to other cancer survivors for advice, we are raising money to be able to send her to the Klinik Marinus am Stein in Germany where other cancer patients have achieved amazing results and miracles have really happened. We have started mum on a special cancer-busting 'ketogenic diet' which she is enjoying and doing really well on (apart from her 'Super Juice' lemon, spinach and kale shot 3x a day!). We believe that this along with other forms of holistic and alternative therapies and traditional chemotherapy will have a profound impact on her health and cure her of cancer.
Below we have left a few words written by our mum.
On Feb 7th 2018, my life changed...
I have 2 wonderful children that make me proud every single day, a fantastic family, equally wonderful friends a job that excited me. My working day introduced me to new people everyday and allowed me to help others , giving something back to the industry that I have been passionate and a part of for over 30 years!
I had nothing to worry about, or so i thought, i had all I wanted/needed and a whole lot more...the only niggle I had was a low bearing tummy ache which I couldn't budge.
''Oh it's the menopause..'' I thought.
''It's probably my age'' I thought.
''I'm probably just a little bit tired/rundown..'' I thought.
''It will go away eventually'' I thought.
''Early nights with a hot water bottle will do the trick!'' I thought.
What I didn't think was that I would be told by an Oncologist on the 12/02/18 that I was being diagnosed with ''an unusual cervical cancer'' which was incurable.
Thank you for taking the time to read our page, any donations towards mum's treatment would be very gratefully received by us ..
Love you mum,
Jake and Millie xx
