As a nursery setting, we are incredibly proud to be part of our local community. Every day, our nursery is filled with children, families, staff, laughter, learning, friendships and memories — and we wanted to use that community spirit to support something that could make a real and potentially lifesaving difference.

Our Heart of the Community campaign has one very important goal:

❤️ To raise funds towards providing a publicly accessible defibrillator for the community of Hetton-le-Hole, working with the Red Sky Foundation.

A defibrillator can be a vital piece of equipment during a cardiac arrest. Having one available within a local community means that, in an emergency, it can potentially be accessed quickly while an ambulance is on its way.

We hope that by coming together as a community, we can help make this lifesaving equipment available to the people of Hetton-le-Hole.

🏡 Why Heart of the Community?

Our nursery is much more than a place where children come to learn and play.

We are part of a community.

We see every day how important it is for children and families to feel connected, supported and valued. We believe that being part of a community means looking after one another, helping where we can and teaching our children the importance of kindness and giving back.

That is what Heart of the Community is all about. ❤️

We wanted to create a fundraising campaign that brings together our nursery families, past families, local residents, local businesses and everyone who has a connection with our setting and the surrounding community.

Together, we can hopefully achieve something that will remain in our community for years to come.

❤️ A defibrillator for Hetton-le-Hole

Our fundraising will go towards helping provide a publicly accessible defibrillator in Hetton-le-Hole through the support and guidance of the Red Sky Foundation.

Cardiac arrests can happen unexpectedly, and having access to a defibrillator nearby can be incredibly important.

A defibrillator is designed to deliver an electrical shock to someone experiencing certain types of cardiac arrest, helping to restore a normal heart rhythm when appropriate.

Every minute can matter.

We hope that our fundraiser can play a small part in making sure that, should someone in our community ever need one, this potentially lifesaving piece of equipment is available.
