Story

We want to raise as much money as possible to supply Singleton Hospital with an additional cuddle cot.

It wasn’t until the loss of our son that we even knew what a cuddle cot was and what it is used for.

It provided us with that much extra time we needed with our son before we let him go.

Here’s our story.

Nothing prepares you for hitting rock bottom.

Nothing prepares you for that aching pain that nothing and no one can ease.

The 30th September 2017. The date our whole world changed.

The day we got the worst news any parents and parents to be could receive.

We lost our beautiful baby boy.

Lennon Edward Robert John, his heart was no longer beating. beautiful boy gone.

He had already been diagnosed with a heart condition. Pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect. It meant he would’ve needed surgery at around 6 days old.

It never meant he wouldn’t make it to term.

So after our world was shook beyond recognition we then delivered Lennon into this world days later.

Lennon John was born (asleep), October 3rd 2017 at 8:50pm, a tiny 2lb 15oz.

He was absolutely perfect. He looked exactly like his daddy.

Although it was a situation that brought sadness beyond words can describe, I also felt proud.

Proud that this gorgeous boy was mine and I shared him with the most amazing man I know.

I love every inch of my beautiful boy and I am so glad he chose me as his Mummy.

We had 5 amazing days with him. Cuddling him, loving him. Showing him his home and watching Toy story 1-3 with him until he went to the chapel of rest.

That was all because of the cuddle cot facility. Something we never would have been able to do without it.

Please help us as much as you can so we can get another cuddle cot. It doesn’t matter if it’s 1p, £1 or £10. Every penny will help.

Please help us so another family can experience what we did so they never have to spend a limited time with their baby(s).
