Story
Since our launch, less than a year ago, Little Village has helped more than 90 vulnerable families in Wandsworth by providing them with quality kids clothes, toys and equipment.
In our first three months alone we collected more than half a tonne of clothes, worked with 15 local organizations, and built up a pool of 60+ volunteers and 600+ supporters. We have just secured a great HQ location in Balham and over the coming year we have big plans to support many more families. We need your help to make it happen.
As well as collecting physical donations Little Village needs to raise money to supply essential baby equipment and services.
We welcome all donations – every little helps. For example:
£5 will buy a child in need with five sets of underwear
£10 will provide a set of new teats for baby bottles
£25 will buy two moses basket mattresses
£50 will pay for a month’s van hire to help us deliver items to families in need
£100 will buy four new cot mattresses
About Little Village:
Little Village collects good quality baby clothes and equipment, donated by local families, and works with health visitors, children’s centres and other professionals to give these items to families who need this kit but can’t afford to buy it.
If you know a family who would benefit from our services, or would like to join our volunteer network – please get in touch: littlevillagehq@gmail.com
Praise for Little Village:
"I’m a health visitor working with a Homeless, Refugee and Asylum team. Little Village has been invaluable in helping us to support these families and to reduce the risks around cot death and babies becoming ill by providing sterilisers, cots, mattresses and sheets at very short notice.”
“Little Village have not just supported us in emergencies, they have provided role play toys and books so parents can spend quality time playing with their children."

Little Village
8 years agoHello everyone - a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU for so kindly donating to Little Village's crowdfunding campaign. I've just had some good news that a local church is donating an additional £500 so we are making good progress towards our challenging target. It's been humbling to see your generosity and the team and I are super grateful for your support of our work. I've taken Little Village's 105th referral today, and we moved into our new space at the weekend, so lots of good things are happening! thank you again. Sophia x
