Story

I have met Dominic's father many years ago at the secondary school we both attended to. We became friends very quick, we were like brothers. Due to different plans and many other circumstances our lifes took the directions we never expected to see one day. We have not seen each other like for 6 or perhaps 7 years now. This year I found out that Christian's first baby was born. And I was as happy as I was the one who just became a father. I have contacted with him while after, after all this years and I have noticed there is something wrong. The optimistic and very cheerful guy I always knew is gone. And it was no without a reason. I knew it must be something serious.

Christian and Kate's son, Dominic, was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, epilepsy and increased muscle tension. The baby was born in severe condition because of hypoxia. Dominic has to experience muscle spasms and pain, problems with eating, poor balance when sitting, lack of control of the head, chronic sleep disorders, eyes exotropia and few other conditions which makes his childhood tough from a very beginning. The heart breaks when you hear such a thing. I cannot imagine how hard it must be for the young parents to see their little baby suffering and crying because of all that pain its cannot stand or even understand the reason of.

I know they are trying to stay optimistic but they are facing it alone every single day. It is very hard to see yourself in the similar situation. Christian and Kate are very close to me and I want to help them somehow. They are good people, with a good heart. Dominic needs 300% of their care and attention. Because of this, Kate is around him for 24 hours a day and Christian is the only one who takes a financial responsibility for the family. It is extremely hard for him to afford all the extra costs. I don't know what amount of money will make a significant difference but I don't want to do nothing about it. Any penny counts, any form of help is more than welcome. The collected money will help Kate and Christian to buy essential equipment, medicines and cover rehabilitation and commuting costs (they drive 4 times a week, 60 miles a day). I believe in you guys, show your big hearts. And remember, good always comes back to you with a double strength!
