We’re raising funds to supply brand new children’s pyjamas and underwear to Ward 25 at Kingsmill Hospital, which cares for children from birth to 16 years old.

This cause is very close to our hearts. Our 14-month-old daughter recently became unwell with an autoimmune condition and needed to stay on Ward 25. The level of care she received was nothing short of incredible.

During her stay, she needed regular blood tests and cannulas, which, as any parent knows, is distressing—especially with a feisty toddler. One night, after another cannula had to be inserted, her only pair of pyjamas was completely soaked with sweat due to her being so distressed. That same evening, a kind nurse brought us a fresh pair of pyjamas from the ward’s emergency stock.

It made such a difference. Our daughter settled faster, and for the first time that day, we felt a little less helpless.

That small act of kindness meant the world to us—and now we want to pay it forward.

Our Goal

We’re fundraising to purchase brand new pyjamas and underwear for children aged 0–16 years to help other families who find themselves unexpectedly staying on the ward. Due to infection control, the hospital can only accept new, unused items.

Alongside collecting donations locally in the Mansfield area, we’re aiming to raise £5000, As we wish to turn our fundraising into a Charity in the next 12months.

We will be called - Little Dream Bug Charity.
