I've raised £10000 to buy large vehicles with wheelchair access. These will be used by the foundation to offer local families with disabled children days out.

Story

The Haris Khan Foundation a non profit organisation launched 17th May 2019. This was just two days after a successful campaign by the family, friends and neighbours of Haris to get him access to the treatment he so badly deserved, Spinraza.

The aim and mission of the Haris Khan Foundation is to create a better quality of life for disabled children and their families in Manchester and surrounding areas.

It is our aim to have enough vehicles on our fleet, all with wheelchair access to cater for the requirements of special needs children.

Currently we are in the process of purchasing out first vehicle. It is our target to have five vehicles on our fleet within the first year. Once we have an adequate number of vehicles on our fleet our services will be made available all across the North West.

Located close to Manchester Airport, our service will be available to all in Wythenshawe and a 10 mile radius from the airport. All requests must be made through our website, with a minimum of fourteen days notice.

Jermain Defoe who backed the families campaign for Spinraza sent a personal video message to the them of after their triumph.

The Jermain Defoe Foundation as well as My Lahore British Asian Kitchen are keen supporters of the HKF. Others to support the campaign to name a few were the Gypsy King, Tyson Fury and fellow boxer Amir Khan. Chris Smalling, Man Utd defender tweeted a fundraiser for HKF. Riyad Mahrez, Man City winger we consider a family friend after his visits to see Haris and his Man City mad brother.

Our website Hariskhanfoundation.com is now live. Also find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram thehariskhanfoundation.
