Micky Bennett is one of Minibike Champs most popular and aspiring young riders with plenty of podium finishes under his belt.

The MBC team and minibike world were devastated to learn at the last event of the British Championship in July that Micky was in Great Ormond Street Hospital receiving treatment after being diagnosed with leukeamia.

As a team, we thought, what can we do? What can we do to support Micky, show him we’re all rooting for him and we’re right behind him at such a tough time. What can we do to try and make this monsterous journey some how easier for Micky and his family. Well, we put our heads together, and this is what we’ve come up with to raise some £’s.

1) The boys: Jamie C, Jamie R, Adam (the flagger) and Kev

The boys have all committed to shaving their heads. With the Minibike World Championship coming up at the end of August, what better place to show their support to Micky in the presence of the worlds top Minibike racers!

2) The girls: Paula, Kay and Laura (hopefully with the support of Kev (speedway commitments providing))

The girls weren’t too comfortable with the idea of joining the boys in with the head shave... So, they‘ve decided to get their bums on bikes and cycle from Oxford to Great Ormond St Hospital where Micky has been receiving his treatment. They plan to do the 60+ mile bike ride on Saturday 1st September.

All of us at Minibike Champs would really appreciate any amount you can spare to donate to Micky and his family whilst they ride, probably, one of the toughtest journeys of their lives.
